Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eiko Nuga in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the game, Ahto Neppi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC RockOil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 36 played minutes FC RockOil got a freekick which was hit by Ahto Neppi. After having played for 41 minutes, Eiko Nuga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC RockOil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eiko Nuga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan Fredriksson charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Fredriksson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomas Illescas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ailar Saluste. FC RockOil's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Eiko Nuga made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eiko Nuga in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute FC RockOil were awarded a corner. Hubert Talvik went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ailar Saluste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute.
