In the 15th minute of the game Gottfrid Henriksson made a throw-in which Vladimir do Vale played forward. 17 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir do Vale came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Ruan Dal Bello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in DJVAGALUMY FC.'s zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinho Amorim came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benjamin Kvammen was slow to take the kick. During this time DJVAGALUMY FC.'s players had a chance to rest. In the 29th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ruan Dal Bello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ruan Dal Bello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruan Dal Bello, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 46th minute Daniel Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Benjamin Kvammen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruan Dal Bello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Ruan Dal Bello slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Kvammen got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the match, DJVAGALUMY FC.'s Vladimir do Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Charles Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind DJVAGALUMY FC.'s goalkeeper Robinho Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Venezuela's Jose Correa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gottfrid Henriksson in the 71 minute of the game. Robinho Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd match minute, DJVAGALUMY FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gottfrid Henriksson to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robinho Amorim saved DJVAGALUMY FC. from getting behind. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robinho Amorim having to make a save. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Amorim having to interfere.
