After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Luiz Fabiano Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yiğitcan İstanbullu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute of play forced Jurassic Monsters SA's goalkeeper Yiğitcan İstanbullu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yiğitcan İstanbullu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Yiğitcan İstanbullu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After 18 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Luiz Fabiano Lima sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Jurassic Monsters SA's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yiğitcan İstanbullu came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Yiğitcan İstanbullu quite easily take care of the ball. After 48 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yiğitcan İstanbullu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Yiğitcan İstanbullu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fabiano Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Yiğitcan İstanbullu in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute Luiz Fabiano Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yiğitcan İstanbullu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Jurassic Monsters SA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Jurassic Monsters SA's Yiğitcan İstanbullu managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Jurassic Monsters SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball.
