Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Máté Gelencsér kicked off to start the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Máté Gelencsér, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Máté Gelencsér's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Máté Gelencsér might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Máté Gelencsér ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute, Máté Gelencsér made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Máté Gelencsér recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Máté Gelencsér left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Békéscsaba 1912 Előre SE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Máté Gelencsér scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Máté Gelencsér sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. 47 minutes into the match, Békéscsaba 1912 Előre SE's Máté Gelencsér sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Máté Gelencsér was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Pablo Salomon took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Békéscsaba 1912 Előre SE made a substitution. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Salomon got free with Benito Sanz in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Efrain Moruga's late challenge caught a Békéscsaba 1912 Előre SE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pablo Salomon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Benito Sanz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Békéscsaba 1912 Előre SE played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
