The audience was convinced that De-la-Cruz Fantasia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Mexico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Vincent Abubakar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere.
