A well-hit corner resulted in Frank Galli heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Pascual Carballar's late challenge caught a Trento Calcio 1921's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Carballar helped the player get up and apologised. Frank Galli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. If Frank Galli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Galli in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Kevin Mastache got a free kick in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Trento Calcio 1921's Frank Galli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Galli, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Trento Calcio 1921's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. Colombia's Axel Montenegro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mutlu Baykam in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Galli in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Trento Calcio 1921's Frank Galli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mutlu Baykam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Trento Calcio 1921's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Mutlu Baykam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Trento Calcio 1921's goalkeeper Mutlu Baykam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Galli was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Galli in the 53rd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mutlu Baykam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Secada in the 89th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Ignacio Mastache notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Trento Calcio 1921's Mutlu Baykam. Mutlu Baykam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 94th minute, Anfilogino Pace hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, Abram Secada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Mutlu Baykam was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Colombia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Trento Calcio 1921 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
