After a rather tough play, PINGO PINGO's Doctor Frankenhaeuser got a free kick in the 8th minute. PINGO PINGO's Dionisio Raphael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. PINGO PINGO's Dionisio Raphael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play. Dionisio Raphael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomiro Cordarrell kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Dionisio Raphael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of the match. Alvaro Micarelli in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 29 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dionisio Raphael made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Demario, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Alvaro Micarelli could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Dionisio Raphael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. Dionisio Raphael didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Filip Josefsson hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filip Josefsson's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes PINGO PINGO got a freekick which was hit by Doctor Frankenhaeuser. PINGO PINGO's Dionisio Raphael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 71st minute of play. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a rather tough play, PINGO PINGO's Felipe Fernandes got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Raphael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dionisio Raphael tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, PINGO PINGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorio Tancoš to maneuver through the defense. PINGO PINGO's Dionisio Raphael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, PINGO PINGO's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Dionisio Raphael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
