Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Godfredo Nuñez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 9th match minute, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Nuñez to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Nuñez in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo were awarded a corner. Erasmo Jago went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Erasmo Jago almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Erasmo Jago's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Julio Vera - 0-2 was put on the score board in the 14th minute. Serafin Bernal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Serafin Bernal made a huge save. With a little luck, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Serafin Bernal got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Luis Andino played forward. Serafin Bernal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godfredo Nuñez took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Nuñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Primitivo Andino made in the 44th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Daniel Zorita immediately put the ball in play. 46 minutes into the match, Godfredo Nuñez notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfredo Nuñez in the 51st minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Godfredo Nuñez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godfredo Nuñez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serafin Bernal. The C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serafin Bernal should have stopped the shot. Serafin Bernal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute of play forced C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's goalkeeper Serafin Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Godfredo Nuñez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 71 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. With an all-out effort, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilfredo Nikola, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 74thth minute of the game Wilfredo Nikola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wilfredo Nikola, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Nikola in the 96th minute of play. Although Ecuador had been in control for most of the match, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo still came away with the win.
