In the 32nd minute, Godfredo Nuñez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Serafin Bernal made a huge save. Serafin Bernal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute. Dawid Serwacki hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo were awarded a corner. Erasmo Jago went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's corner Erasmo Jago fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cristian Romero hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Julio Vera was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Godfredo Nuñez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Godfredo Nuñez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Luciano Segio was substituted for Dawid Serwacki. A nice corner shot did that Teofilo Oxarra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 66th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Aureliano Negro sent off a good shot on target. Serafin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 69th minute of the match. If Wilfredo Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Nikola in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute of play forced C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's goalkeeper Serafin Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serafin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute of the match. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Serafin Bernal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. Serafin Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 90th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Carmelo Sugar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After a rather tough play, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's Carmelo Sugar got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafin Bernal. Serafin Bernal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
