Barnaba Blochowiak succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 14th playminute. 17 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Kazimierz Falkowski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazimierz Falkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Barnaba Blochowiak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. When Brokopondo's Barnaba Blochowiak in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barnaba Blochowiak's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Bejrut got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Kazimierz Falkowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Kazimierz Falkowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th match minute, Brokopondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lech Felenak to maneuver through the defense. Brokopondo made a substitution. Che Guevara replaced Kazimierz Falkowski. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barnaba Blochowiak was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Esteves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 61st minute, Tomas Illescas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mauro Esteves, passed just outside the right post. Brokopondo made a substitution. 정 남 replaced Stefan Bejrut. Patricio Costa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Venezuela's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrzej Klawki in the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Brokopondo's 정 남. But to his dismay, 정 남 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0.
