A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Manole Frunză kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Kacper Štilić hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gustaw Rasialdo got a throw-in 25 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kacper Štilić. Victor Negara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 34 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. A hard shot 39 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Victor Negara managed to make a qualified save. Rovine Craiova's players were relieved. Jyrki Saarelainen scored 0-5 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manole Frunză in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Rovine Craiova fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Rovine Craiova's Manole Frunză looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manole Frunză made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manole Frunză in the 50th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 51st minute, Jyrki Saarelainen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Manole Frunză left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rovine Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Rovine Craiova's Victor Negara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 59th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Manole Frunză came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 66 minute. 70 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Turcescu came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Rovine Craiova booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rovine Craiova the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Victor Negara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rovine Craiova's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
