Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hugo Bender took the kick off in the first half of the match. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erwin Teesing came out and tried to block the shot, but Edmundo Espiga slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. After 9 played minutes ASC South United got a freekick which was hit by Frits de Boer. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Taco Scholte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Edmundo Espiga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erwin Teesing showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. ASC South United's Taco Scholte got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, ASC South United's Wesley Eringa got a free kick in the 21st minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A throw-in in the 25th minute of the game was made by Mirko Stuijvenberg with Cees Hermensen as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Bender, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The throw-in from Mirko Stuijvenberg in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Hugo Bender shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Bender, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolf van der Saar's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolf van der Saar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Honduras booed when ASC South United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf van der Saar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin Teesing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erwin Teesing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cees Hermensen in the 48th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

53 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Erwin Teesing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ASC South United's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erwin Teesing came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 60 played minutes ASC South United got a freekick which was hit by Taco Scholte. 61 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Erwin Teesing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Erwin Teesing. ASC South United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 67th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Teesing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a good free kick, Esteban Carvallo got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for ASC South United. In the 71st match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wesley Eringa to maneuver through the defense. After 75 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Cabal. Erwin Teesing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 80th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes ASC South United got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Bender. Moises Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erwin Teesing was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. When Taco Scholte fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ASC South United's protests and gave Taco Scholte a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Honduras booed when ASC South United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taco Scholte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moises Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Erwin Teesing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erwin Teesing saved ASC South United from getting behind. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mirko Stuijvenberg in the 91 minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Honduras fully deserved thier win.
