The audience thought a goal was coming when Cândido Petri got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cândido Petri in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Abram Sarmiento scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeronimo Cresconio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cândido Petri in the 21st minute of play. Santino Seco hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Zâncă in the 23rd minute of play. Jeronimo Cresconio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Cândido Petri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. MILAN COLOMBIANO's Jeronimo Cresconio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlando Tafalla during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 47th minute of play forced MILAN COLOMBIANO's goalkeeper Jeronimo Cresconio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cândido Petri made a kick off. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Chano in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cândido Petri in the 54th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Petri came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Colombia booed when MILAN COLOMBIANO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Chano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Jeronimo Cresconio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abram Secada's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jeronimo Cresconio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jeronimo Cresconio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abram Secada in the 92nd minute. Buster Moreau hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Colombia's Kevin Mastache broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Colombia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colombia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
