Monty Rogers scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Candido Mercurio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Candido Mercurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Cassius Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Candido Mercurio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hu Zheng Yun kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. KPO BIZARRO's Candido Mercurio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 37th minute of play. Monty Rogers made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that KPO BIZARRO's Candido Mercurio managed to reach the ball for a save. Qiao Feng Ling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Enrique Mariano Kiradzhiyski might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Day. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Mariano Kiradzhiyski ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Ospin in the 77th minute of play.
