Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Jan Zapletal started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Pekárová rodinka getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ondřej Molík hit a great ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. Zlatko Balcar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Miroslav Krištof showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 27th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nebojša Bombis in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. František Knespl was slow to take the kick. During this time Pekárová rodinka's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Pekárová rodinka's František Knespl to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Rovenský in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Godfredo Laurin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Godfredo Laurin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Pekárová rodinka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslav Dosoudil didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miroslav Krištof saved Pekárová rodinka from getting behind. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Nebojša Bombis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pekárová rodinka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nebojša Bombis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 52nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan Zapletal during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jan Zapletal hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Jan Zapletal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Jan Zapletal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jiří Hanzlík struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pekárová rodinka. In the 67th minute, Eliseo Noboa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miroslav Krištof was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Jiří Hanzlík had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miroslav Krištof showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 75th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 80th minute. Eliseo Noboa's late challenge caught a Pekárová rodinka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Noboa helped the player get up and apologised. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 83 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. Pekárová rodinka's František Knespl couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 84th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Costa Rica. Jan Zapletal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Zapletal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan Zapletal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 93rd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pekárová rodinka players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
