Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Berganza kicked off to start the match. After 9 minutes of play, Panama's Tomas Berganza made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fatih Tekke came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcos Cotilla could save by the left post. 19 minutes into the match, S.João de Areias's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Yusuf Ziya Sertaç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Fatih Tekke sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Fatih Tekke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the match, S.João de Areias's goalkeeper Yusuf Ziya Sertaç had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Alguacil. In the 65th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusuf Ziya Sertaç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Aznar in the 82nd minute of play. Ferenc van Nistelrooij sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 96th minute of play forced S.João de Areias's goalkeeper Yusuf Ziya Sertaç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
