Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomas Illescas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Börje Fagerberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Best Man received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Flinck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pankracy Oborski in the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Börje Fagerberg got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Mark Nilsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Venezuela's Joshua Secada to fire away a dangerous shot which Mark Nilsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Pankracy Oborski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Djurgårdens IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 31 played minutes Djurgårdens IF got a freekick which was hit by Pankracy Oborski. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mark Nilsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Djurgårdens IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Venezuela. Tomas Illescas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mark Nilsson. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pankracy Oborski in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Börje Fagerberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Pankracy Oborski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 59 played minutes Djurgårdens IF got a freekick which was hit by Best Man. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Fagerberg in the 68th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Best Man who took care of the corner kick. Pankracy Oborski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Börje Fagerberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Fagerberg in the 86th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Djurgårdens IF's Eric Biörkquist was substituted for Alfred Mager. Djurgårdens IF were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
