Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidio Etxekopar got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Elderslie Magpies's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Kerville came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neal Weatherby blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 9th minute of play. Tomas Illescas scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Kerville, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pere Villanueva to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christian Kerville. Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Pere Villanueva in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Alex Chicote. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Kerville prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Christian Kerville was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Elderslie Magpies's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jose Correa made a great header on Venezuela's corner, it was just that Elderslie Magpies's Christian Kerville managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 30th minute, Jose Correa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Elderslie Magpies booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rick Souness, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Christian Kerville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Costa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 minutes, Steven Chaptal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elderslie Magpies and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Chaptal to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Kerville having to make a save. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Elderslie Magpies's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Salvador Gisbert managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Steven Chaptal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. 2-5 became the score in the 74th minute when Neal Weatherby elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Christian Kerville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldwin 舒, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 88th minute, Baldwin 舒 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-5. After 91 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Venezuela played a much better game than Elderslie Magpies and deserved their victory. The Elderslie Magpies players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
