The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edward Engström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Gabriel Lange sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Egil Bern kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laureano Beliran in the 21st minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Bronco in the 23rd minute of play. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Felix Montes got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-1. 39 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Joxa mé trasan's Kevin Hellström got a free kick in the 45th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Edward Engström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After 52 played minutes Joxa mé trasan got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Lange. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Bronco in the 54th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edward Engström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Joxa mé trasan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edward Engström quite easily take care of the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Lange in the 62nd minute of play. Gabriel Lange hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th match minute, Joxa mé trasan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arman von Liechtenstein to maneuver through the defense. Edward Engström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luis Andino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 68 minute of play. With a little luck, Joxa mé trasan's Edward Engström got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Joxa mé trasan.
