Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. 2 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Innocenzio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Gladiadores booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marciano Pettinelli. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Pablo Innocenzio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Pablo Innocenzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blas Beila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gladiadores's Gabrie-Alejandro Maldini got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 21st match minute, Gladiadores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tito Uchiha to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Cristo Quilino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Urbasa. Gladiadores's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 29 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Blas Beila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Blas Beila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34thth minute of the game Blas Beila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gladiadores's goalie prevented a goal. 45 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Urbasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Blas Beila to strike the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Marciano Pettinelli made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 67th match minute, Gladiadores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Innocenzio to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Marciano Pettinelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Urbasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 76th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Albino Belo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albino Belo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 93 minutes, Daniel Zorita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Gladiadores players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
