Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Montenegro in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teo Bernaldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teo Bernaldo came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Teo Bernaldo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Eliseo Mantzio hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Ivan Abreu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ivan Abreu hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Teo Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's goalkeeper Teo Bernaldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 39 minutes, Augusto Vachon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teo Bernaldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Sergio Florian struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18. In the 63rd minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Teo Bernaldo. Teo Bernaldo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. 67 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Teo Bernaldo, 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Antonio Arias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teo Bernaldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Abelardo Monico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Abreu was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Ivan Abreu got a free kick in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Teo Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teo Bernaldo. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Teo Bernaldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Angel Paulin charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angel Paulin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Angel Paulin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
