Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Cactos's Cengizhan Baycan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cengizhan Baycan in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cengizhan Baycan in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Cengizhan Baycan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cactos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cengizhan Baycan in the 15th minute. Julian Murillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bran Allison having to make a save. 18 minutes into the match, Cactos's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Bran Allison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cengizhan Baycan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Cactos's Bran Allison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of play. Bran Allison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Ademir Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cengizhan Baycan in the 37th minute of play. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bran Allison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurinho Trezeguet during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Joaquin Prats. After 43 played minutes Cactos got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Trezeguet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cengizhan Baycan in the 46th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bran Allison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Cactos's Luisinho Maciel was substituted for Cengizhan Baycan. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Luisinho Maciel put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. Cactos made a substitution. Dorival de Carvalho replaced Maurinho Trezeguet. In the 68th minute, Luisinho Maciel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cactos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Nando Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peter Bagge made in the 88th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luisinho Maciel. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisinho Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Cactos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Antonio Tenorio put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bran Allison. Peru's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
