The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink got free with Emanuel Enoiu in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfred Dziatkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Șeicaru in the 16th minute of play. Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Emanuel Enoiu made a huge save. 19 minutes into the match, Róbert Benkó notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of WZG Sandomierz's Alfred Dziatkowski. Alfred Dziatkowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Enoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugon Czciborek in the 24th minute of the match. Gwidon Dropinski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfred Dziatkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbert Benkó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes of play WZG Sandomierz's Gwidon Dropinski was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, WZG Sandomierz's Gwidon Dropinski got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Benkó in the 38th minute of play forced WZG Sandomierz's goalkeeper Alfred Dziatkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Róbert Benkó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Dziatkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Armada's Róbert Benkó got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Armada booed when WZG Sandomierz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viggo Vassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armada's Róbert Benkó got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink to make the kick off. Alfred Dziatkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Benkó in the 52nd minute of the match. Róbert Benkó scored 0-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfred Dziatkowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Igon in the 85th minute of play forced WZG Sandomierz's goalkeeper Alfred Dziatkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filomeno Igon in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfred Dziatkowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute, Wojciech Dec left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The WZG Sandomierz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.
