Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nacho Gonzalez having to make a save. Nacho Gonzalez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a little luck, El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Chile's Mariano Lacasa in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Gallo de Moron's goalie prevented a goal. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Laguna in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Francisco Carballar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nacho Gonzalez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 37th minute, Teofilo Garrote left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Gallo de Moron fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Laguna in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Nacho Gonzalez in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Chile's Gerardo Pozo got a free kick in the 47th minute. Teofilo Garrote who after having made a long run got a chance for a shot on goal. Despite a couple of nice moves Thiago Pliego's wasn't to be fooled and made an easy save when Teofilo Garrote was beeing forced to shoot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Allan Schubert in the 56th minute. The corner ended in Teofilo Garrote almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Luisinho Laguna tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nacho Gonzalez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nacho Gonzalez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Casaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Luisinho Laguna sent off a good shot on target. Nacho Gonzalez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Orlando Casaus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nacho Gonzalez having to make a save. El Gallo de Moron's Emiliano Rodera was substituted for Allan Schubert. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nacho Gonzalez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nacho Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 90th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
