After 3 minutes, Bogumil Banach mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Sosnowiec and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, F.C. Sosnowiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogumil Banach to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszko Andrzejewski having to interfere. Zbyszko Andrzejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 7th minute of play. When Wlodzimierz Odachowski fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Sosnowiec's protests and gave Wlodzimierz Odachowski a yellow card for diving instead. Wlodzimierz Odachowski kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Alex Cambeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zbyszko Andrzejewski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Cambeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute, Fabian Resel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Cotilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 17th minute, Boguslaw Jaszynski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabian Resel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Miralles. After 26 minutes, Alex Cambeiro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. F.C. Sosnowiec's Zbyszko Andrzejewski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Zbyszko Andrzejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 33rd minute of play. Zbyszko Andrzejewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Miralles's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabian Resel to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of F.C. Sosnowiec booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Carita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Carita kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The throw-in from Jose Carita in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by F.C. Sosnowiec's Bogumil Banach. Zbyszko Andrzejewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 63rd minute of play forced F.C. Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Zbyszko Andrzejewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucjan Scigan charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Panama's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
