Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Magnus Harlén in the 12th minute of play. Andreas Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 19th minute of play. Drottningens Parkväktare's Vladimír Šach was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 31 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Magnus Harlén came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Magnus Harlén in the 31st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Emil Ciuvică tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute of the match, Emil Ciuvică got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dante Lacasa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Ciuvică got free with Dante Lacasa in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Gabino in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Magnus Harlén in the 51st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drottningens Parkväktare's Andreas Fransson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Drottningens Parkväktare from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Browald, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 61 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Magnus Harlén in the 63rd minute of play. After having played for 67 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Facundo Cadaval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Joel Gaona reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andreas Fransson. The goal made the score 0-3. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andreas Fransson. Andreas Fransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Ciuvică in the 87th minute of the match. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andreas Fransson. Andreas Fransson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
