Peter Kobliček in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 10 minutes into the match, Kahyaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Puig came free, but Nadir Siddik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Kahyaspor's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. The corner led Costa Rica's Axel Tasis to fire away a dangerous shot which Nadir Siddik despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Aaron Alcocer's late challenge caught a Kahyaspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Alcocer to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Zafer Pınar sent off a good shot on target. Reşit Nejat hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Nadir Siddik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 27th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Axel Tasis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Nadir Siddik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Serhan Eyüpoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 58th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Kobliček came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Kobliček in the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Costa Rica succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Kahyaspor had controlled the match.
