Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. After 5 played minutes Breguete FC got a freekick which was hit by Nando Custódio. 8 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goalkeeper Jailson Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. 11 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Jailson Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Joaquim Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jailson Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play forced Breguete FC's goalkeeper Jailson Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Soares having to interfere. Breguete FC's Jailson Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Breguete FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Mancebo during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Mancebo. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jailson Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Fernandez in the 43rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugênio de Carvalho got free with Dante Lacasa in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roderick van Boxel. Jailson Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Nando Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaona was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 63rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Breguete FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nando Custódio hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jailson Soares. Breguete FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The supporters of Breguete FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jailson Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Eugênio de Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Breguete FC's goalkeeper Jailson Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jailson Soares came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Mexico's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
