Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Rodion Nikitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Pimenta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 4th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Pimenta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodion Nikitin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodion Nikitin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodion Nikitin in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pousada 2 Pedros FC's goalkeeper Marco Pimenta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nilton Tavares hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Marco Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pousada 2 Pedros FC's Marco Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. In the 25th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute Pousada 2 Pedros FC were awarded a corner. Dinei Corrêa went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Bernabe Nel heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Pimenta was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. 33 minutes into the match, Pousada 2 Pedros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Marco Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cafu Pitta sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Rodion Nikitin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pousada 2 Pedros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodion Nikitin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Nilton Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Pousada 2 Pedros FC's Rodion Nikitin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Rodion Nikitin made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodion Nikitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Pimenta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute. In the 58th match minute, Pousada 2 Pedros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Pousada 2 Pedros FC's Marco Pimenta. Marco Pimenta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marco Pimenta made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Felix Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Bernabe Nel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bernabe Nel hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, Rodion Nikitin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodion Nikitin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 83rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tulio Maravilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Pousada 2 Pedros FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Pimenta in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tulio Maravilha hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Marco Pimenta in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marco Pimenta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 93 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. After having played for 95 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
