Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 14th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Stanislaw Koczara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Edwardów's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cezary Kaczeniak came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cezary Kaczeniak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Piotr Malinowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cezary Kaczeniak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Edwardów's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Friberger in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gao Yin Yang in the 43rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwardów's Cezary Kaczeniak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 69th minute of play forced Edwardów's goalkeeper Cezary Kaczeniak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
