Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Jean-Paul Schuiling reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, Jean-Paul Schuiling recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Jean-Paul Schuiling showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronny Koole went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 16th match minute, SV Wissenkerke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Bombarda to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean-Paul Schuiling during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when SV Wissenkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Koole didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 40th minute of play forced SV Wissenkerke's goalkeeper Frits van Loo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gertjan Baars fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Wissenkerke's protests and gave Gertjan Baars a yellow card for diving instead. Gertjan Baars kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Frits van Loo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After 48 minutes SV Wissenkerke's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Tasis who took care of the corner kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean-Paul Schuiling to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Mariano Bombarda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Gerjan Staarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Oscar Hilbrands hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Noboa charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ronny Koole hit a great ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Paul Schuiling in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91stth minute of the game Jean-Paul Schuiling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Gerjan Staarman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SV Wissenkerke's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
