Leon Mosiniak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 16th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Leon Mosiniak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 minutes of play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Mosiniak was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kryspin Oryniak in the 27th minute of the match. Florian Duszenski was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Mario gool:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. After 40 played minutes Mario gool got a freekick which was hit by Przemyslaw Moryl. CJ Robben kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Kryspin Oryniak's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kryspin Oryniak to strike the kick off in the second half. Kryspin Oryniak struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mario gool. 54 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mario gool the free kick. Mario gool's Leon Mosiniak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Mario gool from getting a goal against them. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 66th minute, but Leon Mosiniak got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Mario gool hanging dry this time. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Leon Mosiniak in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the game, Kryspin Oryniak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mykyta Yaremenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Mario gool's Zbyszko Kociniewski was substituted for Zenon Makomaski. In the 79th minute of the match Mario gool got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zbyszko Kociniewski ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 93rd minute, Kryspin Oryniak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
