Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luciano Ondino started the match with the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Seber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Rafael Tavio in the 9th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olivos Futbol Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Patricio Costa scored to the left of an out of position Robustiano Nel, making the score, 1-0. In the 17th minute, Patricio Costa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 20 played minutes Olivos Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Selatse. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Benedicto Patrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robustiano Nel saved Olivos Futbol Club from getting behind. In the 31st minute, Olivos Futbol Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Domingo Selatse's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingo Selatse helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd match minute, Olivos Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Selatse to maneuver through the defense. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Nel having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Abilio in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Luciano Ondino made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Rafael Tavio got a throw-in 58 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Angelino Seber. After 59 played minutes Olivos Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Selatse. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Luken made in the 67th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Angelino Seber however managed to control. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 68th minute. Jonathan Ferrant acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Benedicto Patrido. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Robustiano Nel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 75 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Patrido came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robustiano Nel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robustiano Nel saved Olivos Futbol Club from getting behind. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Olivos Futbol Club's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robustiano Nel came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Olivos Futbol Club's Baldomiro Abilio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olivos Futbol Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
