With a left leg Rune Jarstein saved Hertha 1969 from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 40th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. After 44 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Lüder Roppel. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

In the 75th match minute, Hertha 1969 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ziemowit Tscherner to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Luz Tejedor from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Rune Jarstein's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. 85 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Moritz Hasenjäger came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85thth minute of the game Moritz Hasenjäger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Moritz Hasenjäger sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. In the 92nd minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Paulo da Silva who after having made a long run got a chance for a shot on goal. Despite a couple of nice moves Rolando Noboa's wasn't to be fooled and made an easy save when Zé Paulo da Silva was beeing forced to shoot. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zé Paulo da Silva was slow to take the kick. During this time Hertha 1969's players had a chance to rest.
