After a rather tough play, Várzea F.C.'s Rogério Saldanha got a free kick in the 4th minute. Abram Sarmiento's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Carlos Augusto Quintal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jude Monkhouse in the 7th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Monkhouse in the 9th minute of the match. After 10 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jude Monkhouse. In the 12th minute, Jude Monkhouse made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some careless play in the Várzea F.C. defense, Santino Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Quintal. The Várzea F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Quintal should have stopped the shot. Carlos Augusto Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jude Monkhouse in the 29th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Augusto Quintal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Augusto Quintal made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Axel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Carlos Augusto Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Várzea F.C.'s attentive Delmiro Licerio managed to snatch the ball when Joshua Garrido made a throw-in in the 37th minute of the game. Delmiro Licerio hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Carlos Augusto Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Joshua Garrido got a free kick in the 44th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Jude Monkhouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Várzea F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jude Monkhouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jude Monkhouse to make the kick off. Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 54th minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Santino Seco put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Augusto Quintal. Axel Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Quintal having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Monkhouse in the 66th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Roberto. Várzea F.C. made a substitution. Daniel Isăceanu replaced João Francisco Tande. Várzea F.C.'s Dé Montenegro was substituted for Jude Monkhouse. The supporters of Colombia booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Roberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aloísio Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Alcântara hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Dé Montenegro notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rogério Saldanha hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Dé Montenegro took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Carlos Augusto Quintal came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Ignacio Mastache. But to his dismay, Ignacio Mastache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Dé Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Dé Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Várzea F.C. players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Colombia from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
