The supporters of Venezuela booed when CRAIOVA JUNIOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gică Mohora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorin Păstrăv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to CRAIOVA JUNIOR getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Iacob Tudorache hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in CRAIOVA JUNIOR's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iacob Tudorache's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iacob Tudorache helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CRAIOVA JUNIOR getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Iacob Tudorache hit a great ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, CRAIOVA JUNIOR's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dorin Păstrăv reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CRAIOVA JUNIOR fully deserved thier win.
