Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jude Monkhouse started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Eduardo Alcântara came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute Jude Monkhouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Várzea F.C. were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Eduardo Alcântara took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Luiz Eduardo Alcântara got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Joshua Garrido kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Jude Monkhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. After 14 minutes of play, Várzea F.C.'s Jude Monkhouse made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luiz Eduardo Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jude Monkhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santino Seco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Augusto Quintal having to make a save. Colombia's Antonio Indiano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Delmiro Licerio, made in the 33rd minute of the game. After 38 minutes of play, Várzea F.C.'s Jude Monkhouse made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Luis Cazalla in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Várzea F.C.'s Delmiro Licerio. 44 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jude Monkhouse in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Tennenbaum to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Augusto Quintal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Antonio Indiano got a free kick in the 55th minute. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Várzea F.C. made a substitution. Daniel Isăceanu replaced João Francisco Tande. 67 minutes into the game, Delmiro Licerio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Carlos Augusto Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Secada in the 68th minute of the match. Carlos Augusto Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Carballar in the 70th minute of play. The throw-in from Kevin Mastache in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Várzea F.C.'s Delmiro Licerio. In the 73rd minute, Ignacio Mastache made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Augusto Quintal. Várzea F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Dé Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Montenegro in the 77th minute of play. Várzea F.C.'s Carlos Augusto Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 80th minute of play. If Dé Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Dé Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 90th minute Abram Secada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Montenegro in the 93rd minute of the match. Antonio Indiano hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Várzea F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
