An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Aires in the 3rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Aires in the 6th minute of the match. Godfredo Luix hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Walmir Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of the match. The Loco De Remate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 47th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Walmir Catarinense. Loco De Remate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Alonso Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Rene Aires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Rene Aires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Loco De Remate made a substitution. Hıdır Namal replaced Feliciano Iratxo. In the 61st minute, Rene Aires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Loco De Remate's Walmir Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 66th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Leandro Virila got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rolando Noboa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Despite being the better team, Peru failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
