After 13th play minutes Francisco Seco shot 1-1, a short shot which went by José Maria Branco and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Cláudio Donatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Cláudio Donatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Bem Bolado booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Carballal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leopoldo Mandrak, made in the 30th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Wilson Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 35thth minute of the game Wilson Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 54th minute, Kevin Carballal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelinho do Valle took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 56th minute, Cláudio Donatello made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 60th minute. The Bem Bolado fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Bem Bolado's Wilson Lima looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 65th minute, Cláudio Donatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bem Bolado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Wilson Lima sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Cláudio Donatello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. José Maria Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 80th minute. Bem Bolado's José Maria Branco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Bem Bolado from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bem Bolado had won after a very even match.
