Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) MC ESPANHOL's Frits Evenhuis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teófilo Belém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Sourpis came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Sourpis, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Teófilo Belém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, MC ESPANHOL's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Teófilo Belém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teófilo Belém came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teófilo Belém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Felix Montenegro to score against Teófilo Belém in MC ESPANHOL's goal. 0-2 after 24 minutes. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teófilo Belém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. MC ESPANHOL's Teófilo Belém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 47th minute. The MC ESPANHOL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frits Evenhuis in the 56th minute of the match. With a little luck, MC ESPANHOL's Teófilo Belém got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th match minute, MC ESPANHOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. Teófilo Belém made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 60th minute. In the 62nd match minute, MC ESPANHOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Máximo Palma to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 64 minutes, Frits Evenhuis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MC ESPANHOL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frits Evenhuis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teófilo Belém having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kostas Sourpis in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, MC ESPANHOL's João Gomes got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Luis Andino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Teófilo Belém. Luis Andino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. The supporters of Ecuador booed when MC ESPANHOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Teófilo Belém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, MC ESPANHOL's goalkeeper Teófilo Belém had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Teófilo Belém made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Teófilo Belém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teófilo Belém made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MC ESPANHOL made a substitution. Piarres Hermida replaced Frits Evenhuis. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 96 played minutes MC ESPANHOL got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Guerreiro. The MC ESPANHOL fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
