In the 8thth minute of the game Ludvik Anclin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ludvik Anclin in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernes Flakus in the 10th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agnaldo Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnaldo Ramalho in the 14th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Milky Way's Agnaldo Ramalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Ludvik Anclin kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zladko Terdič took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Zija Pleteršek made in the 32nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ernes Flakus however managed to control. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludvik Anclin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes, Agnaldo Ramalho made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute of the match Milky Way got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ben Koeling ran over to the corner to take the kick. Milky Way's Ben Koeling was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gaos during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

In the 53rd play minute Agnaldo Ramalho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. 0-6. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Klemen Mikuž didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Ernes Flakus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Milky Way's Agnaldo Ramalho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. After 66th play minutes Agnaldo Ramalho shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Milky Way booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milky Way's Armin Gradin was substituted for Sergej Kous. Klemen Mikuž showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 78th minute of the match. Milky Way made a substitution. Ronald Verbič replaced Agnaldo Ramalho. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Milky Way's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Salvador Gisbert fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Klemen Mikuž quite easily take care of the ball. Armin Gradin's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armin Gradin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Milky Way was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armin Gradin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 85th minute of play forced Milky Way's goalkeeper Klemen Mikuž to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronald Verbič. Milky Way's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
