The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donovan Belli was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Sebastian Villa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donovan Belli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Real Pozzino's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Donovan Belli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Honduras's Edmundo Espiga getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Alfonso Rigoni kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Donovan Belli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ivan Navarro made in the 89th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Sebastian Villa however managed to control. If Augusto Franzioni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Rigoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Real Pozzino's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dennis Corvasce in the 95th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Real Pozzino lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
