Codruț Hanganu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codruț Hanganu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Cheng Zhan Sheng tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 24 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Codruț Hanganu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Remigio Vigil made the kick off in the second half. White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s Codruț Hanganu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, White&Blue Lions-Stiinta-'s goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Codruț Hanganu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Mexico players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented White&Blue Lions-Stiinta- from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
