He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. A nice corner shot did that Macos Graciani got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alex Méret quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Alex Méret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Leoz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Moisés Mangas made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Chancy Olympique's Moisés Mangas got a free kick in the 94th minute. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
