In the 4thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frisia AFC's Santos Vigil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Panama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Abraham Alguacil in the 5th minute. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Frisia AFC's Santos Vigil did a great save. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Tomas Berganza got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 9 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Sadurni came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Frisia AFC booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes, Frisia AFC's Melchor Esiquio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luciano Sadurni to make the kick off. Frisia AFC's Abel Txatxu was substituted for Americo Matia. Ricardo Endura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere.
