After 10 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. 14 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Vidman came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Landin in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Lost Boys Sports Academy getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Nils Bergström hit a great ball. If Jaime Cazalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Vidman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Lucas Vennerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Lucas Vennerberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Thomas Stigsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Thomas Stigsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Lost Boys Sports Academy's goalkeeper Lucas Vennerberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Stigsson in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francisco Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kent Vidman to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Thomas Stigsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 1-3 became the score in the 58th minute when Kent Vidman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. Francisco Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lost Boys Sports Academy booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lost Boys Sports Academy's Lucas Vennerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 91st minute of play. Thomas Stigsson charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Stigsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Uruguay manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Lost Boys Sports Academy to win.
