With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomé Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the game, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Donato Botelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Caco Guimarães kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Campidelis in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Oliveira came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wincent Wydrych in the 27th minute of the match. Alfredinho Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomé Oliveira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Botelho went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 36 minutes into the game, Magno Nunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Danilo de Mendonça hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomé Oliveira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Felipe Ros hit a great ball. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Magno Nunes made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Téo Campidelis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. 56 minutes into the game, Alex Cambeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. the free kick. In the 58th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Alfredinho Faria hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomé Oliveira saved Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomé Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Magno Nunes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Marcos Cotilla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Téo Campidelis. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Oliveira having to interfere. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Donato Botelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. After having played for 88 minutes, Téo Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo Campidelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Tomé Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
