The supporters of Linghed Angels FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Malmberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 15thth minute of the game Fu Ling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ove Hellström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Ove Hellström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ove Hellström really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Ove Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörgen Magnusson. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fu Ling made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Hellström in the 52nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fu Ling in the 59th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 87th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Fu Ling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
