Boncho Vlúchkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Salmiyah Power was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Ganix didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Salmiyah Power's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Boncho Vlúchkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salmiyah Power's Boncho Vlúchkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of play. Boncho Vlúchkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Salmiyah Power's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boncho Vlúchkov came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Salmiyah Power's Noureddine Adjani was substituted for Jeremias Ganix. Salmiyah Power's Hamid Ahmed was substituted for Brahim Kerkar. Salmiyah Power's Noureddine Abdenouz was substituted for Leonard Bărnuțiu. After 91 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Cheb Haddou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 2-1 became the score in the 97th minute when Arsenio Claus elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Salmiyah Power had won after a very even match.
