The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tallahassee Vikings's Blaine Thorne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Tallahassee Vikings from getting a goal against them. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Sousa in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 30th minute Archie Maddox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 minutes, Emanuel Ocampo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Tallahassee Vikings players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Emanuel Ocampo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 35th minute. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 41 minutes Honduras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Narciso Mitxel who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Honduras's goalie and right to Dávid Szentesi. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Honduras's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 45 minutes into the game, Archie Maddox was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tallahassee Vikings's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arthur Sousa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arthur Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Arthur Sousa scored 0-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Esteban Carvallo fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Esteban Carvallo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Sebastian Villa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Blaine Thorne having to make a save. Blaine Thorne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 70th minute of the match. Pete Maxwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaine Thorne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arthur Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Archie Maddox in the 81st minute of the match. After 83 minutes of play, Tallahassee Vikings's Arthur Sousa made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The throw-in from 俞正平 in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Luca Espinar. Douglas Robertson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Navarro having to make a save. Pete Maxwell charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pete Maxwell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Pete Maxwell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute of the match Luca Espinar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Blaine Thorne showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Dávid Szentesi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Honduras supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tallahassee Vikings's performance. The match ended with a win for Tallahassee Vikings.
